Structured programmes, with clear aims and objectives, support
a variety of curricular and continued professional development outcomes, including links to work related learning. Activities tailored to specific need can be provided
Professional Development Placements aim to support as many aspects of the National Curriculum as possible as well as offering personal and professional development. The placement involves staff spending from one to five days in a working environment in the public or private sector gaining first hand experience of current practices.
As well as distributing information on placements arranged by outside organisations, the EBP will respond positively to requests from teachers / lecturers who would like to spend a day in a business environment of their choice.
PDPs include conferences, workshops, site visits and activity days with business and industry. The EBP works to offer placements that support Work Force Development, CPD, Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and placements to support upskilling and qualifying Teaching Assistants.
