Description

Students visit company premises to research industry activity in support of coursework or to gain an insight into specific sectors of industry.

Aims, objectives and learning outcomes

Students and teachers learn from visits to different types of business operations and through contact with personnel from different employment sectors.  Potential learning outcomes include :

• identification of the practical applications of subject-based knowledge, types of business operation, career pathways and the extent and diversity of local and national employment opportunities.
