what we do

ReBEP have '6 key programmes' details of which can be found on this website. Everything we do falls under the general banner of work related learning.

work experience
(2 weeks, extended and diploma)

A Work Placement is an opportunity for young people to gain direct experience of the world of work by spending time with an employer.  Young people achieve an understanding of business objectives and teamwork; improve their self-confidence; develop a variety of new skills and experiences; gain an idea of a full adult working day and have the opportunity to use their experiences to make better informed decisions about their future. Employers gain the opportunity to help young people to develop and mature, a possible source of new employees for the future, a closer involvement with local schools and a chance to influence young people’s confidence in gaining employment.

vocational (vip)

The Vocational Inclusion Programme (VIP) provides opportunities for students to succeed and remain engaged in education and / or training.  Without this provision, some students would become disaffected, disengaged or NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) or fail to reach their potential.

training

Providing 14 – 19 year olds with access to qualifications, practical activities and employability / wider key skills (including ASDAN approved qualifications, functional skills, first aid and health & safety)

employability skills

Over 3,000 young people every year participate in ReBEP organised activities that develop their personal / key skills required to enter the world of work

enterprise education

BEP enterprise activities provide students with challenges that promote skills in problem-solving, team membership and leadership, initiative, adaptability, risk taking and decision-making. In developing these skills, students gain increased understanding of what processes are involved in the initiation and development of a business enterprise idea; which helps them to develop vision and creativity for their future lives

teacher placements

Placements organised by ReBEP into business and industry for teachers and support staff designed to support Continued Professional Development (CPD). Whilst on placement, teachers are able to gain first hand experience of the latest working practices.
